BASIS.ed is seeking a Director of Primary Program whose main responsibility will focus on student support programs; overseeing student arrival and dismissal; manage student discipline; and Teaching Fellow Coordination.
The Director of Primary Program also supervises an Assistant Director of Student Affairs, Primary Program Curriculum Coordinator, and the Teaching Fellow staff members.

Primary Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Academic Support coordination (including monitoring activities
- related to individualized academic plans, Academic Enhancement classes, course
- syllabi creation, academic events, and Accelerated Instruction)
- Manage student discipline records and parent communications
- related to academic performance and behavioral expectations with the assistance of the Dean.
- Oversee/manage the Curriculum Coordinator in the creation of rosters, schedules, audits of gradebooks, iPlanners and sub schedules.
- Coordinate, organize and review results of assessments
- including:
- Oversee the implementation of internal and external benchmarking exams, and coordinate the response to student outcomes with the Curriculum Coordinator and Dean of Students.
- Oversee the implementation of ISA Exams
- Oversee the implementation of State-required assessments and coordinate the response to student outcomes with the Curriculum Coordinator and Dean of Students.
- Review progress reports/report cards for primary and provide meaningful and intentional response through a robust student support program, complete with tracking of student progress.
- Organize award ceremonies, all logistics for primary
- Organize and execute student academic and behavioral
- support (as necessary) with the Dean
- Manage/oversee Primary Assessment of Intervention Needs
- System (mClass)
- Attend ARD Meetings as the LEA representative
- Manage/oversee academic enhancement plan for primary
- program based on assessment data (BLT's, State assessments,
- ISA)
- Provide oversight of mentor teachers as they coach other teachers (using strategies from Leveraged Leadership and Teach Like A Champion)
- Provide and organize professional development to primary
- teachers to enhance classroom performance

Job Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors required (Masters preferred)
- 3-5 years experience in a school setting (charter or independent preferred)
- Behavior management or relevant experience preferred
- Experience working with young students

Additional Job Information:
Benefits and Salary: Starting Salary for this position is $55,000 - $60,000 competitive and dependent on education and experience. BASIS.ed offers a comprehensive benefits package.
