Job Description

Director of Instruction and Student Intervention

This position is highly focused on developing and supporting the implementation of effective instructional strategies and intervention programs that would support students in grades 6 and beyond.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate support systems within the existing framework to ensure intervention programs are targeted to the specific needs of the students beginning with graduation class of 2028.
  • Support teachers with best practices for developing the necessary reading comprehension and critical thinking skills consistent for success in the BASIS middle and upper school program.
  • Lead professional development focused on instruction.
  • Collaborate with school leadership in the development of weekly and monthly responsibilities for teachers.
  • Facilitate the up and down communication between Head of School, Directors, Deans, instructional coaches, interventionists, and teachers.

 

Benefits and Salary: Salary for this position is between $50,000-$60,000/year dependent on education and experience.
