Curriculum Support Specialist

BASIS Curriculum Private Schools seeks an experienced educator to oversee curricular systems and provide curricular support for BASIS private schools (independent and international). Under the direction of the Director of Curriculum, this network-level position will provide support in curriculum & instruction to administrators and teachers across our campuses, in addition to managing our systems for benchmarking/progress monitoring and syllabus creation/revision. The Curriculum Support Specialist will provide training, as well as provide recommendations aligned with available data for instruction and assessment.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide user support for and training on FastBridge for literacy benchmarking/progress monitoring (teachers and administrators); analyze network-level data to compose reports
  • Provide user support for and training on creating syllabi in our proprietary database (BeLA); monitor teachers’ revisions of syllabi
  • Assist in reviewing and improving network-wide resources and assessments
  • Provide instructional guidance and support as-requested by school administrators
  • Assist in researching and making curriculum modifications
  • Provide occasional professional development workshops

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • At least two years teaching (PK-12), ideally in an elementary school
  • Experience analyzing data
  • Experience planning/facilitating/conducting professional development
