BASIS Scottsdale Primary is seeking qualified candidates for a Front Office Assistant for the 2017/2018 school year!

The role of the Front Office Assistant is to provide support services to the school's faculty and staff, provide customer service to parents, assist students, and welcome visitors and fulfill their requests. The Front Office Assistant performs office and clerical tasks such as answering phones, data collection, office communication, and organization.  The Front Office Assistant assists in monitoring absences, late arrivals, and early departures. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performing office tasks related to student data collection, parent-school communication, student-office communication
  • Answering phones
  • Organizing, maintaining and updating student files
  • Providing onsite medical support if needed
  • Coordinating student late arrivals and early departures, recording (sign in/sign out log) and reconciling these records with student attendance data
  • Taking absence calls
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Scheduling meetings between teachers and parents during assigned teacher/parent hours
  • Organizing, maintaining and updating student records (including collection of records from student previous schools and immunization records)
  • Performing clerical tasks related to student enrollment and withdrawal process
  • Organizing and maintaining student medication cabinet, collecting and filing required forms, and administering student medication
  • Opportunities to exercise creative abilities, i.e. creating bulletin boards and slide presentations

  • Customer service oriented, responsive to parent and student needs and requests

Education and Experience: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience. Valid fingerprint clearance and/or applicable state background check. 2+ years in a role with relatable job duties and experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
